Sally also offers experience developing and making submissions on proposed rules and legislation and has provided regulatory compliance advice to cities and public utilities.
Sally has navigated government regulation for commercial clients as well, including in the utility, telecommunications, fishing and food industries.
Sally has worked on complex litigation, including a multi-year lawsuit regarding the management of millions of acres of US Federal land in western Oregon, Pacific Rivers v BLM, No. 19-35384 (9th Cir. 2020), and in a (settled) industry lawsuit alleging unlawful government approvals of fish-friendly in-water structures. She also worked on litigation regarding Treaty fishing rights and the non-native sports fishery. McRitchie v Taranaki Fish and Game Council [1999] 2 NZLR 139 (CA).
